Full-Time Wellness and Spay/Neuter Veterinarian
Bristol Humane Society – Bristol, VA
Bristol Humane Society is growing—and we’re looking for a veterinarian who wants to grow with us.
As we transition into our major facility expansion, we are seeking a full or part-time veterinarian to join our team. This role can focus on wellness appointments, high-volume spay/neuter, or a combination of both—the position is flexible based on your interests and strengths.
Why You’ll Love Working With Us
Life-friendly schedule: No evenings, no weekends, no major holidays.
Meaningful work: Help pets and families who depend on affordable, accessible care. Have the financial backing to help support necessary treatments and diagnostics.
Strong support team: At least four LVTs and a skilled staff of 20+ with deep experience in high-volume systems.
Positive, close-knit culture: We’re collaborative, low-drama, and mission-focused.
Room to grow: Learn high-quality, high-efficiency surgical techniques—mentorship is available if desired. Be part of the planning and execution phase for a new community and accessibility focused veterinary facility.
Stability + momentum: We’ve served the community since 2005 and continue to expand due to high demand.

What We’re Looking For
- A licensed veterinarian with a passion for making a community impact

- A team-oriented, positive attitude
- Enthusiasm for learning or refining high-volume surgical techniques (training available)
Whether you’re an experienced HVHQSN surgeon or a newer doctor eager for hands-on mentorship, you’ll find a supportive place to thrive. If you are a veterinarian who prefers being in an exam room versus surgery, we have a place for you as well!
